All of NT - Consultancy - Revising population methods

Demography and Growth Planning researchers at CDU will review existing population methods developed by Health Statistic and Informatics. They will then develop a population estimation model in R based on a pre-existing proportional fittings method. They will refine and, where possible, automate the production of estimates for Northern Territory Government regions and Northern Territory Health Regions. They will validate the model and code in collaboration with Health Statistics and Informatics team, and provide training to Department of Health staff, as well as on-hand support to build capacity for the Department to update the estimates in-house.
