The contractor is to accurately survey and peg the positions of new street light columns, a 9m long power supply pole and a distribution pillar. The contractor is then to supply and install new slip-based columns (76 off) and associated outreach arms (95 off), luminaires (95 off), switch packs (76 off), control panels (mains switch boards, 2 off), conduits, cables, fused and connection pits. Approximately 5300m of trenching will be required with numerous under road bores. Site conditions are predominantly rocky, and this must be considered in the tendered price. There are modifications required to an existing Power and Water Corporation (PWC) substation that incorporates an extension of 350m of low voltage underground distribution cables being supplied and installed to a new (1 off) PWC distribution fused pillar numbered as P088BE. The contractor is to test and commission all final street lighting systems and supply all hand over documentation to the superintendent.
