The Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security seeks the services of an expert consultant to undertake an economic analysis to inform the preparation of a Regulation Impact Statement (RIS) for the environmental management of mining activities legislation reforms. The economic analysis should comply with best practice regulation principles and be acceptable to the Regulation Impact Committee (RIC), to enable adequate assessment that the mining environment reforms amendment legislation is best practice.
