The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities is seeking to provide an enhanced Supported Accommodation Service for vulnerable Clients (10-17 years).The Services are to include Supported Accommodation for Clients:· on bail orders;· unsupervised and at risk under the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 (NT); and· post-exiting detention or transfer to another location.In addition to the accommodation, the model will include practical support for the Client and may include case co-ordination and case work as required. If the Client is already engaged with existing services, it is essential that the Contractor will collaborate and connect with existing case co‑ordination/management.The Service(s) would extend to up to twelve (12) Clients per day per location in Darwin and Alice Springs. Part offers for the delivery of Services in one location only (Darwin or Alice Springs) will also be considered.The service is to operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week within appropriate facility(s) and must include:a) Supported Bail Accommodation and Bail Supervision;b) The provision of a staffed Supported Accommodation Service Bail Service phone line to ensure 24/7 access to the Service(s);c) The acceptance of Clients referred from Police, Courts and the Department;d) Connections to existing case co-ordination/management and support services for Clients prior to exiting the Service, this is a priority for eligible Clients leaving detention;e) Supported Accommodation for Clients who may be at risk accordance with the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 (NT); andf) Supported Short-Term Accommodation for a Client who requires transitional support from detention or to another location.Currently these Services are being delivered from Northern Territory Government owned facilities in Darwin and Alice Springs.
