The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) and Northern Territory Police (NTPOL) have a requirement for the provision of medical assessment services by suitably qualified medical practitioners for a period of 60 months. The purpose of the medical assessment is for recruitment requirements and to identify potential health issues of existing personnel at an early stage when appropriate interventions and all treatment may prevent the conditions from progressing or prevent the development of further complications. Medical services are to be conducted for employees, recruits, auxiliaries or individuals as determined by the NTFRS or NTPOL representative. The Principal intends to allow the Department of the Attorney-General and Justice, from time to time, to utilise this contract for the purposes of medical assessments for Correctional Officers.
