DCMC requires an auditor external to the Northern Territory to audit the annual financial statements of the NT Auditor-General’s Office for financial years ending 30 June 2022, 30 June 2023 and 30 June 2024. It is anticipated that planning and interim audit procedures would be conducted in April/May prior to the end of each financial year with closing audit procedures conducted during July/August following year-end. Each annual audit is to be substantially complete by 31 August with the audit opinion and management letter issued to the Chief Minister and to the Auditor-General of the Northern Territory by the end of September.It is envisaged that the audit procedures could be conducted remotely, subject to the successful tenderer ensuring compliance with the requirements of Australian Auditing Standards.The appointed auditor will be given the opportunity to extend the contract for one further period of 36 months.
