Support the engagement of high profile athletes, actors, singers to deliver targeted community service road safety messages on radio, television and social media sites in the Territory through media outlets in order to:Reduce the death and injury on Territory roads.Encourage the community to plan ahead and utilise a Sober Bob/Designated Driver as a responsible transport option when consuming alcohol which includes attending a licensed venue.Sustain an integrated and ongoing messaging strategy that complements the road safety campaigns and education initiatives. Attach a negative stigma to the practice of drink driving and other dangerous behaviours that impact people’s safety on the road - especially in the under-30s demographic.“Recruit”, as an ongoing basis, some of the Territory’s and Australia’s leading entertainment and sporting identities to deliver the core messages and to localise those messages where appropriate Identify and “recruit” NT locals (and celebrities) who have been the victims or perpetrators of drink driving or other road safety issues
