This project aims to improve safety of road users along Kakadu Highway by addressing high-risk hazards including high drop-offs and steep batters at approaches to bridge crossings.Works include:- Removal of existing non-compliant approach rails including ski-jump rails at the approaches to bridges along Kakadu Highway included in this scope, as per 4.2 below;- Batter modifications and maintenance works at Evelyn Creek Bridge;- Install new MASH Tested TL3 compliant safety barrier systems including delineators and terminals at the approaches at each of the bridges, complete with:o suitable connections to existing bridgerails,o shoulder top-ups,o single coat seal of shoulders and areas under the safety barriers, ando pavement marking at edgelines.- Install Fatigue Management Zones with rumble strips and safety barrier systems at the southern approach of Jim Jim Creek Crossing and Nourlangie Creek Crossing to provide advance warning to road users.
