The Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT), through the Office of Sustainable Energy (OSE), is seeking to understand the optimal approach to;1. Deliver the power system investments required to extend the existing power system to the RE Hub in the committed timeframe with suitable cost allocation and/or cost recovery frameworks.2. Establish and operate a RE Hub, including consideration of the required infrastructure investment and cost allocations, preferred commercial structures and arrangements, as well as suitable long operational governance and management frameworks. This is intended to provide sufficient information for the NTG to progress the RE Hub and to develop any relevant regulations, and/or other arrangements by the end of 2022.The establishment of clear, transparent and practical arrangements is critical to providing the confidence and predictability that underpin investment decisions in the power system.
