This is a design and construct project.Upgrade the Stuart Highway between Ch.90.0km to Ch.92.0 and Ch133.4km to Ch135.9km to meet the national highway standard; 11m wide carriageway minimum and a 6m clear zone to headwalls, plus additional width for the overtaking lane, turning lanes and slip lanes etc.A survey is required and develop a new grade line to be adopted for the works.Works include ripping and stabilising the existing basecourse, importing and compacting a new FCR basecourse and a two coat seal.Existing stormwater infrastructure will be extended to achieve the 6m clear zone.Guardrail will be installed to address hazards where necessary.
