Construction of the Welshpool Depot New Assembly Workshop

The Welshpool Depot site is a Public Transport Authority (PTA)-owned site that is utilised by the Network and Infrastructure (N&I) Signals team for storage, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of signalling equipment. The site includes a large open area utilised primarily for storage of cabling drums, boom gates and other large items, whilst there are also several enclosed areas used to store items that must be weather protected. Both areas are complete with industrial racking for improved storability. There has been an opportunity identified for expansion at the site to allow for enhanced operations, increased productivity and the expansion of undercover storage and workshop space.
