This is a design and construct project.Upgrade the Stuart Highway between Ch.97.6km - Ch.100.8km to meet the national highway standard; 11m wide camageway minimum and a 6m dear zone to headwalls, plus additional width for the overtaking lane, turning lanes and slip lanes etc.A survey is required and develop a new grade line to be adopted for the works. Works include ripping and stabilising the existing basecourse, importing and compacting a new FOR basecourse and a two-coat seal.Existing stormwater infrastructure will be extended to achieve the 6m clear zone. Guardrail will be installed to address hazards where necessary.
