The Alice Springs Hospital Main Ward Block air handling units (AHU) have been in operation since the opening of the Main Ward Block in 1977.AHUs 4 and 5 have exceeded expected service life and are operating with low efficiency due to wear on fan assemblies, housing panels, valves and heating components on the units. Refurbish the AHU 4 which services the Renal Ward on the first floor and refurbish the AHU 5 which services the Cardiology and Oncology Department on the ground floor.
