Darwin - Provision of Security for 4 Shiers St, The Narrows and immediate surrounds for a Period of 12 Months

The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities requires services of an established firm specialising in the field of precinct security, and in particular security patrol services. The Contractor shall be licensed under the Private Security Act 1995 (as in force at 20 November 2020). The licence number and expiry date must be included in the Response submitted.The scope of works includes the provision of security services throughout 4 Shiers Street, The Narrows and the adjacent immediate surrounds, including Tsolos Place, Dwyer Park, the service road corridor adjacent to the complex and the Stuart Highway, the outbound bus stop, and parts of Wilmott Street. The provision of security services is to be conducted conspicuously, as to be a deterrent to anti-social behaviour, vandalism, undesirable behaviour, unsafe behaviour, loitering and camping while providing a friendly, engaging presence with public housing tenants and their visitors, as well as members of the general public.The service will comprise of daily programmed security patrols, incident response and other ad hoc security services that may be requested by the contract manager, including but not limited to:• Provide a sufficient level of supervision to ensure that Security Officers do not become complacent in their duties;• Roving security patrols throughout the designated area;• Incident response, collaboration with Public Housing Safety Officers, Housing Officers, Transit Safety Officers, the Northern Territory Police, Larrakia Nation and other outreach services;• Regular reporting of incidents and patterns of behaviour; and• Other ad-hoc security services as requested by the contract manager. The provision of security will be for between 6:00 pm and 4:00 am, seven days a week and will consist of two guards at all time. The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities will make available an appropriate secure ground floor unit from within the 4 Shiers Street, The Narrows which is to be used as the onsite office for the security provider.
