Darwin - Provision of Advice Regarding Electricity Industry Regulation in the Northern Territory for a Period of 24 Months

The Northern Territory (NT) is seeking to engage a Consultant to provide expert advice to ensure the NT electricity regulatory framework (most significantly the NT modified version of the national electricity law and rules (NT NER) remains fit for purpose. In particular, the Consultant will provide expert advice to assist OSE in assessing the current (electricity regulation) framework, analysing national rule changes (and changes to the national law), reviewing requests to amend the NT NER, developing Territory policy and subsequently identifying appropriate changes to the NT NER (as necessary), and other frameworks or instruments identified as necessary to address gaps in the governance arrangements, or new policy directions, for the Territory’s electricity sector (including both national and local arrangements).
