A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises:· New carriageway, 2 lanes south of the existing Stuart Highway· Shoulder and lane widening of Stuart Highway existing carriageway· New pavement and re-seal works on existing and proposed carriageway· Intersection works to Cyprus Street, Link Street and Uralla Road· Installation of new culvert crossings under Stuart Highway and associated drainage works· Construction of new open drains from Stuart Highway extending to the south towards Tindal Creek· Installation of new streetlights · Electrical HV/LV works · Extension of approximately 250 m of DN300 Water main and 380 m of sewer main of varying sizes as per design drawings.· Removal of existing trees within the clearing corridor nominated in the design drawings· Protection, modification or lowering of existing services (electrical, communications and water/sewer) to support the proposed new works· Implementation of traffic control and diversion during construction · Implementation of erosion and sediment control· Environmental management and monitoring· Landscape, irrigation and rehabilitation of site upon completion of works· Traffic Management during construction, refer to the Provision for traffic section for more information on the side tracks.· New tourist information facility and the associated structure relocation from its original locationLiaise with Telstra and Vocus for the relocation and lowering of the underground cable
