Royal Darwin Hospital is in the process of upgrading fire doors throughoutthe main hospital building as many of the existing doors contain asbestos.Current building regulations require that the door and frame be a certifiedtested assembly to AS1905:2015.A certificate of compliance is required from an approved independenttesting authority confirming that the installed assembly meets theminimum specified fire rating durations nominated in the schedule ofdoors to be replaced. The certificate must be current (i.e. compliant withthe 2015-stanjlaB,l) and be from an independent testing facility/body.
