Darwin Region - Period Contract - Motor Vehicles Recovery for a Period of 12 Months

A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises of the relocation or retrieval of improperly parked and or abandoned motor vehicles from NT Government controlled roads in accordance with the NT Traffic Regulations.The relocation and or retrieval may occur on site for public safety reasons, or because the vehicle is abandoned, the motor vehicle shall be taken to the DIPL current storage yard located at the corner of Yarrawonga Road and Toupein Road Yarrawonga or if instructed by the Superintendent to an alternative site within the Darwin Urban area.Some stored vehicles in the DIPL storage yard may be required to be relocated to a scrap metal yard or auction facility.The contractor has to maintain the requirements as per the Standard Specification for Environmental Management, version 2.0 and particular for:- waste management and- fuel or oil spills.The Contractor will not undertake any work unless specifically directed to do so by the Superintendent.
