Darwin - Consultancy - Development of a Valuation Panel Framework for Part 5 of the Livestock Act 2008

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade is seeking to procure a specialist consultant with established livestock industry valuation expertise and knowledge of the Northern Territory or Northern Australia livestock industries to assist developing framework for livestock valuation principles and calculation methodologies to support the Territory’s emergency animal disease preparedness strategy.Developing valuation principles and calculation methodologies is to assist with determining the general entitlements and compensation amounts payable in the event of an emergency disease declaration. The general entitlements to compensation is set out in the Livestock Act 2008 (Part 5).As part of developing the valuation framework, the consultant will be required to engage with a cross-section of livestock industry stakeholders and key Northern Territory Government agencies.
