All Centres - Provision of Merlin Pharmacy System Changes For New Chart Of Accounts

The Merlin Pharmacy System is used by NT Health pharmacies to manage the end to end purchasing and inventory processes for pharmaceuticals. Changes to Merlin are necessary to support a restructure of NT Health. Effective from the 01 July 2021, the three entities that previously formed NT Health, namely the Top End Health Service (TEHS), the Central Australia Health Service (CAHS) and the Department of Health (DoH), merged together into the Department of Health. To support this change, the Australian Business Name (ABN) and the organisation name for each of the three organisations in Merlin were modified to reflect the single new name of Department of Health with the Department’s ABN. Effective from the 01 October 2021, the three organisations’ chart of accounts and bank accounts were also restructured. Vendor support to implement changes to Merlin to reflect the new chart of accounts and bank accounts is required.
