Darwin Region - Provision of Grounds Maintenance Services to Public Housing Complexes for a Period of 24 Months

This procurement aims to achieve ongoing grounds maintenance and cleaning services for the common areas of public housing complexes, in the Darwin Region. Complexes range from multi-level, to ground level medium and high density structures. The Darwin Region is, for the purposes of this tender, divided into three geographical zones:Zone 1 DarwinZone 2 Palmerston, including Humpty DooZone 3 BatchelorContractors will be required to provide routine scheduled services, as well as respond to additional service requests as and when required.Routine Scheduled Services consist of the following:Cleaning of all bins and bin bays and the collection and removal of all litter, from the grounds and within the boundaries of the flat complexes at intervals directed by the Department but usually once per week (after bin collection days).Mowing and edge trimming lawn areas once a fortnight in the Wet Season, and once every three weeks in the Dry Season.Weed control, pruning of shrubs and trees (up to 3.5 metres tall) and removal of garden waste undertaken when providing mowing services.Regular watering, on different schedules, in the Wet Season and Dry Season. Where irrigation systems are installed the contractor must monitor the performance of the irrigation systems and identify and conduct repairs that are needed.Fertilising & mulching as specified by the Department. Clearing roof gutters and drains as specified by the Department.The procurement will seek part offers and the intention is to select no more than one Contractor to undertake grounds maintenance and cleaning services, including the repair of irrigation systems, in each Zone.
