Summary and scope

Auto-Electrical Services This category includes: • Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and computer-based components of the Principal’s vehicles, plant or equipment. • Testing, replacement, recondition and installation of equipment including alternators, starter motors and batteries. • Repairing or replacing fault ignitions, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches utilising specialist tools and machines where necessary • Routine logbook services in accordance with minimum servicing requirements determined by the manufacturer of the vehicle, plant or equipment. Mechanical Services This category includes: • Servicing, repairs, tuning, maintenance and testing of the Principal’s vehicles, plant or equipment (including repair and maintenance of hydraulic/pneumatic components) • Diagnosis and detection of mechanical and electrical faults. • The use of welding, hand fitting or machining processes to replace or repair faulty parts. • Ensuring compliance with road worthy inspection requirements (vehicles only). • Routine logbook services in accordance with minimum servicing requirements determined by the manufacturer of the vehicle, plant or equipment. Tyre Supply and Associated Services This category includes: • The supply, fitting and balancing of tyres. • Completing wheel alignments. • Disposal of tyres. Mobile Services In respect of each of the categories of Services listed above, performance of those Services for the Principal’s vehicles, plant or equipment, operating remotely. Emergency Breakdown Services In respect of each of the categories of Services listed above, performance of those Services where the Principal requires urgent repair or removal of its vehicles, plant or equipment. Emergency Breakdown Services may require attention outside of working hours. See clause 3 of this Scope for further information.
