Summary and scope
he Australian Government is planning a future HSR network to connect Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and regional communities across the east coast of Australia. The Authority is the Australian Government’s principal adviser on the development of HSR. Its purpose is to develop a nationally integrated HSR network, connecting cities and key regional centres, enhancing Australia’s long-term rail investment through policy development, national coordination, and strategic planning. This is a once-in-a-generation project that is expected to require a blend of Australian expertise in major infrastructure delivery and international experience from those who successfully develop and operate high speed rail networks. Successful proponents for this Project will likely combine Australia’s proven capability and skills with specialist expertise from those who deliver HSR systems internationally. The Authority seeks to engage a suitably experienced Commercial and Transaction Adviser to act as an adviser and expert for the Project. The Adviser will bring significant expertise to lead the development of safe, reliable and value for money High Speed Rail (HSR) solutions based on proven global best practice.
