Project: Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) - Transmission Project Project owner: ZINFRA PTY LTD Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Closed Scope: Full Scope Work package description: We are seeking proposals from suitably qualified ecologists to undertake ecological services for the following project areas: . Barrigan Creek (SP2) - including advance inspections, pre clearing fauna assessments, post clearing reporting, and post revegetation compliance inspections. . MTP WAL (SP5) - including pre works ecological site inspections, marking of habitat and endangered flora, flying squirrel crossing point review, Large Eared Pied Bat activity assessment, weed extent documentation, and support in identifying nesting box locations. Project overview: The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.The project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.The Scope of works consists of 6 Separable Portions:Separable Portion 1 (SP1): Detailed Design, LLE procurement and management plans i.e., all works required to be 'Construction Ready'.Separable Portion (SP2): 500kV Barigan Creek Switching Station Cut-In (incl works at Wollar Substation, Bayswater Substation and Mt Piper Substation)Separable Portion (SP3): 330kV Transmission Line Bayswater and LiddellSeparable Portion 4 (SP4): Substation Works Bayswater and LiddellSeparable Portion 5 (SP5): 330kV Transmission Line Mt Piper and WallerawangSeparable Portion 6 (SP6): Substation Works Mt Piper and WallerawangSubstation Scope Summary:4 Substations where a new bay is to be installed replacing an old existing bay with upgrades to secondary systems.Total of 6 Substations where Remote End Works is required for these upgrade works.Transmission Line Scope Summary:500kV Transmission Line Cut-In works into the Barigan Creek Switching Station.2 x 330kV Transmission Lines upgrades between Bayswater to Liddell and Mt Piper to Wallerawang.These upgrades are additional circuits to one line and modifications to the tower lines based on location of new bay locations in the Substations.
