Summary and scope
Project: Orsted - Gippsland Offshore Wind Project Project owner: ORSTED OFFSHORE AUSTRALIA 1 PTY LTD Location: VIC Australia Work package status: Closed Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Orsted is looking to appoint a contractor for provision of an integrated geophysical and geotechnical reconnaissance survey of an onshore coastal area in Gippsland, Victoria. The purpose of the survey is to support the design and installation of offshore wind infrastructure, specifically electrical cabling. Orsted plans to select a contractor who can engage and support in the detailed design of the survey methodology by proposing the best approach(es) to meet our survey objectives (to be detailed in the tender invitation). Due to the geographical and geological conditions of the region, experience of executing similar surveys in the area and/or similar geological settings within Australia is highly desirable and will be a significant component of the evaluation. The anticipated scope is as follows: . Full coverage LIDAR/aerial topography or survey line coverage topography . Mapping of seismic velocities to a depth of 25m . Optional additional geophysical mapping of features of interest (eg saltwater tongue, subsurface structures) by borehole tomography or other methods . A number of GT boreholes to reach depth of 25m . CPTUs and in-situ thermal measurements (if possible) . Sampling for subsequent laboratory testing . Monitoring of ground water level and soil moisture Please note interest if your company had the capabilities to provide the above services (subcontracting is acceptable for some scopes) and note that a Non-Disclosure Agreement will be required in order to participate in the tender.
