T2023-2024-112 Bulloo Downs Culvert Replacement- 16 Mile Billabong

Summary and scope

Council requires the replacements of the old culvert to be constructed by a qualified concretor Contractor with high experience on concreting works and culvert installation with the cooperation of Council’s road services crew. The major works required are as follows: a) survey assistance to Council’s crew with earthworks on subbase and its approaches to make sure the profile of proposed culvert replacement to be constructed as per designed; b) replacement of old culvert to new culvert as specified in drawings and Specifications, including Wing Wall, Apron, headwall and all reinforcement and concreting works required in drawings other than specified (All materials to complete the works will be supplied by Council); c) installation of rock protection as specified in drawings (rock will be supplied by Council). d) Installation of Baffles as specified in the drawings e) Demolation of old culvert and construction of detour (Council Crew will construct the detour). f) All materials for this Culvert Replacement works will be supplied by the Council: Concrete cement SL 92 mesh x 6m x 2.4m N12 Bars Black Plastic 75/90 Bar Chairs 50/65 Bar Chairs 190/200 Bar Chairs Tie Wire R20 x 1200mm Dowel Bar 2.4m x 1.50m x 1.2m RCBC 2.868 SLBC x 1.2m Rocks (300mm min.) for inlet and outlet protection Gravel Other materials and equipment needed to deliver the works other than specified will be supplied by the Contractor. Necessary survey and testing's will be organized by the Council. Traffic management, including signage and detour, will be undertaken by Council before and during construction. Road furniture and signages will be installed by Council. It is expected that this work will commence in April 2024 and all works required to be completed by no later than 31st of May 2024, weather permitting.
