Summary and scope
HWQld is Queensland’s dedicated prevention agency established to prevent chronic disease and improve health equity, with a focus on healthy eating, physical activity and obesity.HWQld has committed to implementing a whole-school healthy eating program in all state primary schools across Queensland to increase children’s vegetable and fruit consumption. Pick of the Crop (POTC) is a whole school, multi-strategic, evidence-based healthy eating initiative developed by HWQld; it is flexible and designed by schools to focus on their unique community needs and school environment. HWQld seeks to engage one or more Implementation partner/s in a two-year agreement to support delivery of POTC across Far North Queensland's Department of Education (DoE) regions.Implementation Partner/s will be responsible for recruiting and managing a regional coordinator and supporting school engagement, implementation and stakeholder collaboration.
