Summary and scope
The Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR) is seeking to engage a service provider to deliver specialist technical advisory services to support the Department’s management of offshore oil and gas decommissioning activities. The services will include provision of technical advice on complex decommissioning matters across the project lifecycle, including regulatory requirements, planning considerations, and associated risks. This may involve analysis of obligations under relevant legislation, support of regulatory approvals, and technical assurance activities. The successful supplier will provide high-level strategic and industry-informed advice, including assessment of technical, financial and operational risks, and identification of broader implications for government. The role may also include reviewing technical positions presented by industry and supporting informed decision making. Services may be delivered on as required basis and my include engagement with key stakeholders, including regulator bodies and other government agencies, as well as contributing technical input into future procurement activities and documentation.
