Summary and scope
The procurement seeks to engage a Supplier to arrange, manage, deliver and report to the Customer on a national solar panel recycling Pilot. The Supplier will arrange for the collection of up to 250,000 decommissioned panels from around 100 sites across Australia and ensure panels are safely aggregated, transported, and recycled. The services required include: planning, project management and oversight of collection, aggregation, transport, and recycling services; determining a nationally representative sample of different system types and geographic regions; identifying and/or establishing safe and compliant aggregation points to temporarily store panels prior to transport to a recycling facility; engaging and managing Subcontractors through open and competitive processes; administering payments to Subcontractors within the funding envelope; designing and producing an industry training module, incorporating industry guidelines, to support the safe and efficient handling of decommissioned panels; developing or procuring a data monitoring and reporting system; collecting, verifying, and reporting data; and ensuring compliance with relevant work health and safety, environmental, and transport requirements across all jurisdictions.
