Summary and scope

The Supplier will develop whole of urban footprint-scale stormwater runoff models for identified priority Great Barrier Reef (Reef) catchments and assess the risk of instream erosion from urban waterways in these catchments due to increases in flow velocities associated with stormwater runoff. The project will result in identified major urban centres in Reef catchments with sufficient data having access to a whole of urban footprint-scale stormwater runoff model and a qualitative assessment of instream erosion to assist with their planning and investment strategies to address stormwater pollution. The project seeks to address an identified modelling data gap as a key foundational activity under Phase 1 of the Customer’s Reefwise Urban Program.
