Summary and scope
The Project is a Commonwealth funded facility project focused on delivering an Alternate Energy Solution (AES) for DARC. The Project intends to deliver an AES to supplement the power otherwise generated by the existing DARC diesel power station. The system has been specified to achieve no less than a 43% renewable energy mix, with opportunities for increased renewable energy mix to be explored through the design development process. The AES is expected to take the form of a solar array and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) system.
