Summary and scope

The Willunga Creek stormwater project aims to improve the creek’s capacity, resilience, and ecological condition while reducing flood impacts on surrounding properties. The creek flows south to north, with the works extending through nine private properties. Flood mitigation works include raising existing earth bunds along the creek alignment by up to 300mm to improve flood protection. In areas where space is limited, alternative solutions will be implemented, including the construction of concrete plinths or extensions to existing stone retaining walls within private properties. One existing culvert will also be replaced to increase hydraulic capacity and improve creek flow.
