27/3/2026 11:00 AM AET The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites Expressions of Interest for the carrying out of the Soft Plastics Processing and Buyback service in accordance with this request. The Soft Plastics Processing and Buyback service includes the processing of Soft Plastics generated from the City residential recycling services such as the Ultimo Pop-Up, Recycle It Saturday and Doorstep Collection Service. The Service Provider will be required to collect Soft Plastics from City Sites, transport and process Soft Plastics into Recycled Material in accordance with Good Industry Practice and all applicable Laws. If agreed by the parties, the Service Provider will be responsible for manufacturing or sourcing the manufacture of products made from Soft Plastic for use by the City as a Buyback Product. The City will hold a formal briefing for Tenderers via Microsoft Teams during the week beginning 16 March 2026. During this briefing, the City's Representative will provide an overview of the Request for Tender and speak to certain sections of the Request for Tender. As such, this briefing will not be recorded and questions will not be permitted, please refer to the contact points for queries referenced under the Key Conditions EOI. Please also note the confidentiality of the briefing and that the use of technology to transcribe or record meetings is not permitted.
