ποΈ Tender Overview The City of Sydney is seeking a qualified Head Contractor to provide professional conservation services for the metal sculptures of the Tank Stream Fountain. Located in Herald Square at the intersection of George and Alfred Streets near Circular Quay, this historic fountain was commissioned in 1979 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of The Sydney Herald. π οΈ Scope of Work & Requirements The successful contractor will be responsible for: Conservation Works: Restoration of the fountain's metal sculptures and associated plaques. Collaboration: Working closely with the City and the existing fountain Maintenance Contractor. Reporting: Preparing comprehensive conservation and maintenance reports detailing the restoration process. π
Site Visit & Submission Details Site Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site. The fountain will be drained on 25 May 2026 (10:00 AM β 2:00 PM) to facilitate inspections.
