9/7/2026 11:00 AM AET The City of Sydney (the City) invites Tenders for construction services for Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade in accordance with this request for tender (RFT). The City has an ongoing parks renewal program. The program aims to improve the quality of open space and play experiences, provide a diverse range of play opportunities and improve the amenity of green spaces in our neighbourhoods. Redfern Oval is located on Chalmers Street between Redfern and Phillip Streets, Redfern. The City is proposing to upgrade the Redfern Oval in late 2026 to enhance the quality, durability, and functionality of the sports field. The scope of works consists of two main parts: upgrade of the field surface; and upgrade of the irrigation and water supply systems. The City is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor team to deliver the Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade. The Contractor will be required to carry out the construction works for the Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade in accordance with the Specifications and Contract. Works onsite must commence 12 October 2026 and be completed (including 10-week maintenance period) prior to 19 February 2027. Tender Award is anticipated by 1 September 2026. The City is committed to creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses. The City encourages First Nations People businesses, Local SME, Start-ups as well as social enterprises (including Cooperatives) to work with us and respond to this opportunity.
