Summary and scope
Big Brook Dam is 6km North of Pemberton in the Big Brook State Forest. Built in 1986 to supplement the Pemberton town and Trout Hatchery water supply, the Big Brook Dam provides a fantastic opportunity for recreational activities. Big Brook Dam Walk Track is a sealed 4.2km (Class 1) trail circumnavigating the Big Brook Dam and caters for stroller and wheelchair access and is also ideal for cycling. Portions of the track also form part of the Bibbulmun Track. The trail surface varies in its condition and DBCA has funding for repairs and resurfacing. DBCA requires a suitably qualified and experienced contract to carry out repairs and resurface with 30mm black Asphalt. DBCA would prefer the works to be undertaken during the months of February, March 2026.
