Summary and scope

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) are developing a new access road, car park, trail head and day use area at Frenchman Peak in Cape Le Grand National Park (approximately a 1 (One) hour drive east of Esperance). The proposed development will provide improved facilities and greater parking capacity for the popular existing walking trail to the top of Frenchman Peak. The proposed car park area utilises an existing cleared gravel pit area for much of its footprint and will also include a trail head orientation area, a sheltered picnic area, and a toilet.
