Summary and scope
The Australian Government, through Defence and supported by other relevant agencies, is seeking proposals from Australia's private capital market to inform its potential investment into an Advanced Capabilities Investment (ACI) Fund together with private capital. The Australian Government may consider a co-investment of up to $500 million into one or more ACI Fund(s) to finance Australian companies involved in the development of defence and dual-use advanced capabilities. The purpose of an ACI Fund(s) will be to invest in Australian small to medium sized businesses alongside private capital to support the development of kinetic and kinetic-enhancing advanced defence capabilities, including dual-use capabilities, with a view to growing and scaling such businesses, including for potential export opportunities Through this Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI), Defence seeks submissions from interested parties to identify potential Private Capital Partner(s) to establish and manage an ACI Fund(s).
