Summary and scope
The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM), through the Strategic Policy and Delivery Division, is establishing a Technical Advice Panel to support the work of the Forecasting and Planning function. The Technical Advice Panel will provide DEM with streamlined access to pre-qualified suppliers who can deliver specialist technical, engineering, forecasting and market advisory services on an as-needs basis, to support: · long-term electricity demand and supply forecasting · assessment of reliability, security and adequacy of the South Australian power system · analysis of emerging technologies (e.g. storage, hydrogen, DER, large industrial loads) · planning studies and scenario analysis to inform Government decisions, policies and programs
