Summary and scope
The Central Information Point (CIP) is a key action emerging from the Strengthening Responses to Family and Domestic Violence - System Reform Plan 2024 - 2029 (System Reform Plan) and multiple system reviews highlighting the need for consistent, timely information?sharing across agencies to improve safety, risk assessment, risk management and workforce coordination. Government and non-government agencies collect a range of information about people involved in family violence related incidents. This information is contained within individual agency systems and is not currently linked or able to be collated in a systematic way. Department of Premier and Cabinet is the responsible agency for development of a data asset to enable specified information (data product) to be collected from these individual systems to support and inform risk assessment in family violence cases.
