Summary and scope

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) Broadcasting Services team produces and distributes live audio and video coverage of Australian Parliament House events. This includes all proceedings of the House of Representatives chamber, the Senate chamber, the House of Representatives Federation chamber, selected parliamentary committee proceedings and events that occur around the building (in the field). Whilst the current fleet of cameras, lenses and camera control systems has been stable and reliable, there is ageing and legacy technology that is reaching end of life. This ageing and legacy technology requires a refresh to assist the DPS modernisation journey.
