Proposals should demonstrate how they will complement existing skills and workforce programs, build on established industry and community partnerships, and deliver practical education, training employment pathways that strengthen workforce participation. Focus areas could include: • supporting workers, families and communities to understand and act on available transition supports, entitlements, pathways and access points across Commonwealth, state and non?government systems • translating existing information into simple, practical tools that support informed decision-making and preparation for moving through employment transitions • assisting workers, families and communities to identify barriers to accessing supports and providing tailored guidance to overcome those barriers and progress toward employment or training options, through direct engagement at the individual and workplace level, including referrals where appropriate • supporting connections between workers, families and communities and local jobs by engaging with employers to understand current and emerging workforce needs, identifying realistic job pathways based on local demand, helping people to connect with employers, and ensuring advice provided to workers, families and communities reflects current hiring demand and industry requirements • monitoring performance and reporting to the department on activities, insights and systemic barriers, to inform continuous improvement of transition policy and service delivery.
