Summary and scope
This is a Major Works Contract for the construction of a 5.15 km water distribution main around the western edge of Traralgon, to be installed through combination of open trench excavation and trenchless techniques. The size of the new distribution main will vary from 300 mm to a 750 mm internal diameter bore sleeved in DN1200 RC encasing pipe.The material for the larger section (DN750) of the main is mainly Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Mild Steel Cement Lined (MSCL), with the smaller section of the main (DN300) to use High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
