Summary and scope
The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) requires exhibition design services, including 2D and 3D design, for the development of a new long-term exhibition, First Nations Peoples and Australian Democracy (working title). The exhibition explores First Nations governance, law and society, highlighting Indigenous and practice of democracy. Guided by Yindymarra (respect, kindness and strength), it centres First Nations perspectives of time and place through the ‘Everywhen’, linking past, present and future. Drawing on artworks, archival materials and audio-visual media, and developed with First Nations curators and advisors, the exhibition presents a cohesive narrative of Indigenous experiences of democracy from pre-contact to today.
