Summary and scope
This investment will deliver applied RD&E to improve the reliability and effectiveness of existing pest snail bait products under realistic field conditions. The successful provider will generate practical guidance on bait rate, pellet density, timing and performance under different seasonal, pest snail species and farming-system conditions. The work is intended to help growers and advisers better understand when baiting is likely to be effective, why performance may vary, and how bait-use decisions can be improved as part of integrated pest snail management. Findings will be developed in forms suitable for extension and decision support through the broader coordinated pest snail investment.
