🏫 Tender Overview: Cooling Schools Mechanical Services Upgrade Programmed Facility Management, on behalf of the Department of Education and the Department of Housing and Works, is inviting tenders for mechanical and electrical upgrade works at four nominated school sites in the Perth Metropolitan region. This project focuses on improving climate control infrastructure to meet current Department of Education standards. 🛠 Scope of Work Successful contractors will be responsible for: System Replacement: Removal of existing evaporative cooling and gas heating systems, including making good all affected surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings, and roofs). New Installations: Supply and installation of new refrigerated air conditioning systems, including mechanical fresh air ventilation for classrooms. Service Relocation: Managing the relocation of existing electrical and data services, including PA speakers (which must remain operational during term time), security sensors, data points, and lighting. Site Remediation: Roof repairs, condensate drainage management, and temporary sealing of openings to prevent pest or vandalism access. 📋 Key Requirements Qualifications: Bidders must be suitably qualified and experienced in facility maintenance and mechanical upgrades.
