### 🌿 Project Overview
Local Land Services is seeking experienced contractors for the **Restoring the Upper Murrumbidgee River (RUMR) - Woody Weed Control 2026-2028** project. This initiative focuses on the systematic removal and treatment of invasive woody weeds—including Willow, Blackberry, and Box Elder—to enhance riparian health, native fish habitats, and overall in-stream ecological conditions along the Upper Murrumbidgee River.
### 🎯 Scope of Work
The project covers four distinct sub-project areas between Tantangara Dam and Burrunjuck Dam: **Yaouk, Cooma, Monaro, and Yass**. Key deliverables include:
* **Primary Treatment:** 31km of Box Elder treatment and 45-65km of initial weed control.
* **Specialized Removal:** 6-10km of initial control with full removal and 10km of difficult-access control.
* **Follow-up:** 80-101km of follow-up weed control.
* **Public Sites:** Management of 3 priority public sites.
### 📋 Requirements & Qualifications
Contractors must be capable of delivering professional woody weed treatment, willow removal, and blackberry control. Work locations will be confirmed progressively based on landholder consents. A **non-mandatory on-site tender briefing** is scheduled for June 3, 2026, at the Numeralla River Rest Area.
