🌿 Project Overview Local Land Services is seeking experienced contractors to undertake woody weed control as part of the Restoring the Upper Murrumbidgee River (RUMR) project (2026-2028). This initiative focuses on the removal and management of invasive species such as Willow, Blackberry, and Box Elder to improve riparian health, native fish habitats, and overall in-stream ecological conditions. 🎯 Scope of Work The project covers four specific sub-project areas between Tantangara Dam and Burrunjuck Dam: Yaouk, Cooma, Monaro, and Yass. Key deliverables include: Primary Treatment: 31km of Box Elder tree treatment and 45-65km of initial weed control. Follow-up: 80-101km of follow-up control.
