### 🦈 NSW Shark Management Program: SMART Drumline Deployment
The **Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD)** is seeking experienced contractors for the daily deployment of **SMART drumlines** across 20 regions of the New South Wales coast. This initiative is a critical component of the NSW Shark Management Program, aimed at reducing interactions with target shark species—specifically white, tiger, and bull sharks—while ensuring the safety and minimal harm of marine life.
#### 📋 Scope of Work
Successful tenderers will be responsible for the daily operation of SMART drumlines along approximately 15-km stretches of the coastline. The contract period extends until at least 30 June 2027.
**Key requirements for bidders include:**
* Proven fishing experience and relevant credentials.
* Provision of a safe operating environment.
* Access to suitably qualified skippers and crew.
* Deployment of suitably accredited fishing vessels.
DPIRD will supply the necessary SMART drumline equipment, iPad-based electronic reporting tools, and comprehensive training.

Operations are required across multiple regions, including the **Central Coast, Hunter, Mid North Coast, Northern Rivers, South Coast, and Sydney metro**.
