ACTCS is committed to ensuring detainees at the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) have access to education and training programs to support detainees. Providing the First Aid Training course for detainees at the AMC is a Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirement for detainees employed at the AMC. It is imperative that ACTCS continues to deliver this training to detainees, as it will equip program participants with essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to medical incidents in the workplace contributing to safer work environments and enhancing employment readiness across a range of industries.
