Summary and scope
1/4/2026 10:00 AM AET Properties on the southern side of Maslin Place, Bungendore have an open stormwater swale located within an easement at the rear of the blocks. The swale collects upstream flows and runoff from Maslin Place properties and drains to Halfway Creek by utilising the existing reinforced concrete box culverts and concrete drains within the Kings Highway Road reserve. To address this issue, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) has allocated funding to construct: approximately 210m of dual 2100 x 600 RCBC including in situ base slab and special stormwater structures within the existing easement in residential properties 7 to 15 Maslin Place, Bungendore a new DN450 stormwater drain including sumps to capture runoff from Rosella Drive and also to allow low spots from residential properties 112, 112A and 112B Molonglo Street to drain. demolition of the existing 700mm wide open concrete drain that runs on the western side and parallel to Kings Highway, installation of new 1500 x 900 mm inverted RCBC. other works as described in the RFT documents The works will be undertaken in close proximity to residential dwellings and QPRC will be expecting all Tenderers to carefully consider their construction methodology and safety approach. The safety of residents, employees and animals, and the protection of their property, will be the highest priority for Council. Communication with residents throughout the project will also be critical. A MANDATORY pre-tender meeting will be held on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 14:00. The meeting will be held on-site and will include inspection of the properties. The meeting will start from the western cul-de-sac on Maslin Place. The Contact Person will be available at that time to answer any Tenderers queries regarding the Tender. Any Tenderer who does not attend the pre-tender meeting will not be considered. Pre-registration is not required, however, Tenderers may indicate their intention to attend to the Contact Person. IFT drawings are being finalised and will be issued in coming days as an addendum via Tenderlink.
